The pension Zur Fledermaus lies on a small hill on the border of the forest, in front of the Teufelsbruch, a big moor with large meadows.

In spring it's amazing to see all the trees, meadows and bushes in full bloom. Millions of blossoms cause smells which make millions of insects becoming active.

The terrace in front of the house is relaxing area and viewing point at the same time. It's also liked to be used for barbecue partys.

On the terrace you can enjoy the silence. You also have a great view to the Teufelsbruch, a popular place for many animals of our area.

The meadow in front of the pension is beeing cultivated by an ecological farming business. There you can almost always watch eating, hunting or relaxing animals.

In the front of the house are two works of art, completely made out of natural materials. One of it you can see on the picture, it's calles Naturbibliothek and was made by Albert Huber.

In the lounge of the pension is the reception an a kiosk. You also find here an exhibition about protected areas of Mecklenburg , the Müritz national park and about the history of the house.
